Getting started with PolyAl: from RFQ to first production batch

A 90-day playbook for switching part of your feedstock to recycled PolyAl pellets without slowing production.

Getting started with PolyAl: from RFQ to first production batch

Plenty of buyers tell us they want to switch — and then nothing happens for six months. Here is the playbook that gets you to a first production batch in 90 days.

    Days 1–14: scoping

Pick one part to trial. Not your most demanding, not your easiest. Something representative — a mid-volume SKU where a parameter retune is acceptable. Pull together: drawings, current material spec, target volumes, and the customer-facing claims you would like to make.

Submit an RFQ. We come back within one business day with pricing, lead time and a sample-batch proposal.

    Days 15–35: sample batch

We ship a 5-tonne sample on a Big Bag pallet. You run it on the chosen part. Two parameter passes is normal — temperature up 5–10 °C, injection speed down 15–20%. Document everything for later auditability.

    Days 36–60: validation

Dimensional check, drop-test, surface inspection, customer sample if needed. If it passes, lock the parameters into your work order. If it doesn't, we adjust the next batch's MFI on our side and try again.

    Days 61–90: first production order

10–25 tonnes. Standard 4-week lead time, dropped to 2–3 weeks for repeat orders once your spec is on file. From here, you scale at whatever pace your supply chain allows.

    What slows people down

Not technical issues. It is internal alignment — getting purchasing, engineering, quality and ESG on the same page. Run them in parallel from day one.
