1. Cost: a cheaper tonne in the same recipe
Recycled polyolefin feedstock is priced below virgin PE and PP, so every tonne you substitute pulls down the weighted average cost of the blend. Because PolyAl is sold in homogeneous 60-tonne batches with documented specs, the saving is stable across the year instead of being a one-off spot purchase.
The calculator above uses your own prices: enter what you pay for virgin resin today, what you would pay for PolyAl, your annual volume and the share you intend to substitute. The result is the gross raw-material saving per year and the CO₂e you avoid at the same time.
- You set the share for your part and process; we help you tune it from your base resin and cycle
- Homogeneous 60 t batches keep the cost per part predictable between deliveries
- EUR.1 origin removes import duty for EU-based converters
2. Recycled content: documented, post-consumer, auditable
PolyAl is 100% post-consumer: every pellet starts as a used post-consumer packaging that would otherwise be landfilled or incinerated. That matters because PPWR sets binding recycled-content targets, and because your customers' Scope 3 reporting needs a supplier that can document the origin of the material.
Each batch is produced following UNE 53925:2026 and ships with a technical datasheet and certificate of analysis, so the recycled share you declare on a part is traceable to a specific batch rather than an estimate.
- 100% post-consumer recycled origin (post-consumer packaging)
- Produced following UNE 53925:2026; independent cleaning-chemical resistance tested to UNE 56875:2021
- Supports PPWR recycled-content compliance and your customers' Scope 3 reduction targets
3. Blends in: no new equipment
PolyAl runs on standard injection and extrusion lines. Melt flow index sits at 2–4 g/10 min, density at 950–1050 kg/m³ and Vicat softening at 90–100 °C, so processing windows overlap with the recycled and virgin polyolefins most converters already handle. The aluminium fraction acts as a mineral filler that adds rigidity and dimensional stability.
The practical route is a blend trial: dose PolyAl into your existing hopper mix, log cycle time, shrinkage and part weight, then compare against your reference part. Colour is dark and the surface can show slight speckle, which is why the strongest fit is rigid, hollow or technical parts where colour is not a selling point.
- Injection, extrusion, thermoforming and foaming applications already validated
- No dryer, screw or mould changes required for a percentage blend
- Best fit: rigid hollow parts, crates, bins, buckets, trays, caps, urban furniture, dunnage
4. Where it already works best
These are the applications where PolyAl is proven in production and where converters reach a positive business case fastest — colour-tolerant rigid parts with meaningful wall thickness.
- Buckets, tubs, bins and waste, recycling and composting containers
- Logistics crates, totes, trays and dunnage or edge protectors
- Caps, closures, plant pots and planters
- Urban furniture: benches, litter bins, posts
- Thermoformed sheet and board, light insulation foam
- A recycled percentage blended into your existing PP/PE compound
- Pallets and plastic boxes with declared recycled content
5. How a switch actually runs
The fastest qualification path we see is four steps over six to eight weeks: datasheet review, 20% off your first order, blend trial with your own tooling, then a framework volume with fixed batch specifications.
- Week 1: technical sheet, target share and part selection
- Week 2–3: free sample shipped for your line trial
- Week 4–6: line trial and part validation against your reference
- Week 6–8: agreed share, batch schedule and recycled-content documentation
